With seven employees, this division is responsible for the installation and maintenance
of all City-owned traffic signals, signs and street markings, the installation and
maintenance of two-way radios on all City vehicles and equipment, the installation
and maintenance of cameras, emergency lighting, decals, etc. on all Police and Fire
Department vehicles and the maintenance of most City buildings, including minor
carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs.
Buildings & Traffic employees lend assistance on a regular basis to other city
departments, most noticeably DGDC, in preparation for and clean up of various programs
and activities. These employees are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week
to respond to emergencies. |
