The Public Works Department, with 125 full-time employees, is headquartered in the
City's Centralized Maintenance Complex at 1601 Clingman Street and is comprised
of seven divisions:
- Administration
- Buildings & Traffic Maintenance
- Cemeteries
- Distribution & Collection
- Garage
- Sanitation
- Streets & Storm Sewer Maintenance
These divisions provide services to our citizens and maintenance and support to
other City departments.

Administration |
|
The Administration Division includes the department Director and a Senior Administrative
Support Specialist. Administration is responsible for directing, coordinating
and overseeing the activities of all divisions within the department. Specific
responsibilities include the preparation of resolutions, ordinances, budgets, departmental
reports and correspondence, maintenance of department personnel records, responding
to citizen concerns, participating in the planning of major captial projects and
managing day-to-day operations. |
