Fire Station 2 is located at 1901 Royall Ave. Station 2 was built in 2000 and has the following vehicles:

Engine 2 - 2000 E-One Quint (Ladder/Pumper). Tank holds 1,000 gallons of water/foam.
1979 American La France (Reserve)
1984 Pierce Dash (Reserve). Tank holds 1,000 gallons of water.

Engine 2 is specialized in confined space and rope rescue.

All of Goldsboro's Operational Fire Fighters work a schedule of:

24 hours on
24 hours off
24 hours on
24 hours off
24 hours on
then 96 hours off (4 days)
This equals out to a 56 hour work week with shifts starting and ending at 8am.

Child Passenger Safety Seat Program
Station 2 is official location for the Child Passenger Safety Seat Program.

To help accomplish the department purpose of saving lives, the Goldsboro Fire Department offers a Child Seat Program to help adults install their own child passenger seats properly. The program also re-enforces the importance of seat belt law compliance.

WHERE: Station 2 on Royall Ave
WHEN: 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
