Notice is hereby given that the Goldsboro City Council will meet Monday, February 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Large Conference Room, City Hall Annex, 200 N. Center Street to discuss applying for the TIGER 2012 Grant. The Air Force Museum Citizen Committee will meet Tuesday, February 21, 2012 and Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the Anteroom, Historic City Hall, 214 N. Center Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530. The City of Goldsboro is in the process of preparing the Annual Action Plan for fiscal year 2012-2013, under the Consolidated Plan requirements for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs. The Consolidated Plan is the planning document used by communities and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to allow communities to create a unified vision for meeting the needs of low and moderate income persons/families. The planning process places emphasis on identifying housing/non-housing needs of the community and outlining an action plan strategy to address those needs. It also places emphasis on the participation of citizens and community partner agencies to provide a comprehensive context for the Community Development Program. The City Planning and Community Development Department wishes to meet with interested persons, agencies, groups, or others who wish to discuss and express their concerns with regards to housing and non-housing needs which exist in the Goldsboro community. An informal meeting is scheduled for: THURSDAY, MARCH 8, 2012, 7:00 P.M. AT HERMAN PARK CENTER, MEETING ROOM #2. 901 EAST ASH STREET, GOLDSBORO, NC At that time, all persons, agencies, groups, or other parties are invited to express their views on housing and non-housing needs within the Goldsboro area.
